STATEMENT
Cumbria North is the largest County in terms of area in the Region and has the second lowest population density in England. It stretches for a distance of over 80 miles from north to south and east to west and encompasses both the Lake District fells and a large area of the Pennines. It covers the Districts of Allerdale, Carlisle, Copeland and Eden and has only 3 urban areas with a population in excess of 20,000 one of which is the city of Carlisle.
We endeavour to give all our members as many opportunities as possible and are enjoying the many benefits of Flexible Guiding.
ACCOMMODATION
We do not own a campsite or holiday house, but there are many suitable residential venues in the area, including a number managed by Cumbria Scouts which have recently been refurbished using Lottery grants.
