STATEMENT
Lancashire North West runs down from the Cumbria border; beginning at Silverdale and running between the M6 and the A6 down to Chorley. There are 7 divisions in total and 25 districts. Membership in 2009 was 5,163. The county is very lucky to have three universities, which offers an opportunity for young guiders moving into the area to continue their guiding. This also ensures an ever changing mix of guiders and ideas. The county is a mix of rural villages, market towns and 2 cities Lancaster and Preston which ensures a very diverse population.
