OVER 3,500 MEMBERS OF GIRLGUIDING CHESHIRE BORDER PACKED INTO CONGELTON PARK TO LAUNCH THE CENTENARY IN STYLE
07 SEPT 2009
"Starburst" featured four fun sections- heritage, music, adventure and creativity. Activities included a huge inflatable obstacle course, trampolines, and a spider mountain. Heritage featured fair ground games and a helter skelter as well as now and then camping. The creativity section was hugely popular with crafts, drama, street dancing and a nail bar taking centre stage.
The music section was as equally popular with activities such as make an instrument and Kingshorses performing throughout the day. The day finished with the cutting of the Centenary birthday cake by Elizabeth Tear, our youngest Rainbow, and Edna Robertshaw, Trefoil Guild, who started Brownies in 1924!
