National Scout and Guide Symphony Orchestra Course 2012

Each year the National Scout and Guide Symphony Orchestra take part in a week long residential course. The week comprises of orchestral rehearsals, sectional rehearsals, alongside Scouting and Guiding activities.

We finish with two performances to the public. In the past the NSGSO have performed across the UK in wide range of venues including Bristol Cathedral, Cardiff Cathedral, St. Mary’s Cathedral Edinburgh and Windsor Castle.

The NSGSO have also been abroad performing across the world in the USA, Greece, Germany, Estoni and The Czech Republic.

The next NSGSO course will be held at Beaumanor Park, Leicester from Sunday 29th July to Sunday 5th August 2012.  There will be two public performances held on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th August (venues to be confirmed).

Open to members aged 13 – 25 who are proficient (Grade V or above) in at least one orchestral instrument.
