ABOUT
We moved to Wirral from Birmingham county in 1977. Our Guiding home is at Frankby where our “ family” of girls in the units is 160 plus. Martin is retired but still works several days a month as a consultant food microbiologist. We enjoy doing our Guiding and DofE together.
ROLE
As D of E advisers we hope to encourage and support the DofE teams in the counties and units, using our skills and experience in both organisations to facilitate success for the participant at all levels of the award. It is part of our role to see that our county teams are qualified in their various roles, keeping up to date with the changes Guiding and DofE brings about. The most rewarding part is ensuring the participants receive their awards promptly.
