ABOUT
I am a Guide Leader in Rochdale which is in the County of Lancashire South East. I am an Assistant Headteacher at a secondary school in West Yorkshire. I’m an outdoor person – I participate in most watersports and walking my two dogs!
ROLE
My job is help Guiders understand the Guide section programme. This means that I and the team of County advisers can offer advice and support in the following areas:
- The Five Programme Zones
- The Five Essentials
- Patrols and the Patrol Leaders Council
- Interest Badges
- Go-For-It’s
- Challenge Badges
- Baden Powell Challenge Award…..
……The list is endless.
If you run a Guide unit and have a question you’ve always wanted to know the answer to, or simply wondered how to go about encouraging girls to stay on at Guides and complete the Baden Powell Challenge Award, or how to get a young patrol to start working more independently on a Go-For-It, then simply ask your County Guide Adviser.
Each Guide Adviser will also have the dates for Baden Powell Challenge Adventures running in your area. They also have the dates for those Adventures running around the Region as a whole, so if your Guides fancy going somewhere different for their Baden Powell Adventure then contact your adviser for the dates of Adventures running throughout the North West of England.
