Postcards across the world!

Postcards across the world is a virtual postcard swap with Girlguiding British Overseas Territories county, which is going to take place to celebrate World Thinking Day 2025.

We are asking units in the North West region to create a postcard, including photos or pictures of where you live on one side, and your ‘favourite guiding memories’ on the other. The region team have created an example for you, as well as a WTD postcard template to use.

Things to include on your postcard:

• Your unit name
• The county you are in
• Photos or pictures of your area
• All your favourite memories
• Who the postcard is for, whether it’s going to Girlguiding British Overseas Territories or it’s going to Girlguiding North West England (mainland)

Please use the example if you need any help.

Things to not include:

• Personal information
• More than one postcard per unit
• Photos of members if you have not obtained the correct photo permission

Once your postcard is complete, please send it to Region HQ: northwesthq@girlguidingnwe.org.uk along with your unit name and county by Friday 7 February.

The region team will then swap the postcards, and you will receive one back in return.

This is a virtual postcard swap, to help the environment and be sustainable, so unfortunately we won’t be accepting any paper postcards.
