Leader Social Walks June 3, 2025

We’re holding another leader social walk on Saturday 28 February at Jubilee Tower Car Park and we’d love to see you there!

Start location/Time: 10am start at Jubilee Tower Car Park, south east of Quernmore Lancashire

Information: The car park is free but there is no tea shop! This will be a circular walk, taking in Clougha Fell and is a classic walk in open country, suitable for anyone wanting a log book day for level 2 but open to all adult members. The walk is 8 miles long and includes just over 350m of ascent. We will be out for around 5 hours.

Finish location/time: The walk will end back at the car park at about 3pm.

Kit: We would recommend a small rucksack with a drink in a screw-top bottle and a packed lunch. Please wear appropriate footwear (e.g. trainers or walking boots). Depending on the weather you may also wish to bring sun hats/sun cream; a warm jumper or a windproof coat.

This walk is NOT dog friendly.

As there are a limited number of spaces for this walk, once we have reached event capacity you will automatically be added onto a waiting list for when a place becomes available. We will email you to confirm whether you have a space, or whether you have been added to a waiting list.

Girlguiding North West England Annual Promise Day September 4, 2025

Our badge design competition for our Girlguiding North West England Annual Day ended in July, and we’ve been working with our Winner on finalising the design! Beth from 6th Chorlton Brownies in Manchester won with her fabulous idea of a ‘Promise Day,’ all about being kind. Her ideas fit with the guiding promise, and we adapted from there! A huge congratulations to Beth and everyone else who entered it was another successful competition with so many ideas to choose from.

With that being said, we are holding our Annual Promise Day on Tuesday, 12 May 2026!

This will be a virtual mass promise for all members to partake in at 6:30 pm and we cannot wait to all make our guiding promise together!

You will be able to purchase the badge from our shop very soon! Stay tuned…
