DESCRIPTION:A full day of engaging\, interactive workshops and a night of fun\, food\, and film!🍿🎞️\nJoin us for an inspiring day where you can build meaningful connections and learn valuable new skills that you can apply to your daily life. As part of the response to the annual Girls Attitude Survey\, this event is designed to empower you with the tools\, knowledge\, and confidence to thrive in all aspects of your life. Whether you’re looking to expand your network\, gain fresh insights\, or discover practical skills\, this event will equip you to take on new challenges with confidence. \nA variety of sessions will be available on the day and these include team building with bricktopia!\, designing your own event necker\, guest speaker on confidence for young people and more sessions to be confirmed… \nThere is an option to add on a sleepover to the event when booking. The sleepover will include a movie night\, badge swapping\, toasting marshmallows\, camp fire songs and much more… \nWhere: Girlguiding North West HQ. \nWhen: The day event will take place on Saturday 27 February. Please arrive between 11:30am – 12:00pm. This event will finish at approximately 6:00pm if attending for the day. The sleepover will finish at 10am on Sunday 28 February. \nTransport will be arranged for pick up/ drop off at Preston train station if required. \nCost: Tickets are £5. Upon arrival you will receive a £5 voucher for the GGNWE shop in your event goodie bag. \nDress code: Please wear Girlguiding uniform. \nWhat to bring: You may wish to bring a notepad and pen\, and a refillable water bottle. DESCRIPTION:Cityscapes Adventure is back!😲🏙️ \nAfter the success of Cityscapes 2026\, we’re glad to be back hosting in Carlisle! Explore the city and take on this amazing outdoor adventure! Work together as a team to complete challenges and activities\, meet new friends and race around this urban scavenger hunt. \nWhen\nCityscapes will take place on 13 and 14 March 2027. Join us on either day\, for a day of fun! \nWhere\nWe will be hosting activities across Carlisle city centre. \nWhat to expect\nExplore a new city. Visit museums. Do quick crafts. Go outside your comfort zone. Dive deep into historic landmarks. Find movie locations. Snap a pic of a famous building. Vlog your adventures. Race to finish as many activities as you can. \nAt our Cityscapes Adventure\, you’ll do all of this and more! \nYou’ll gather your favourite guiding group and set off on an adventure across Carlisle to complete as many activities as you can before the day ends! Earn badges\, make friends\, and see if you can climb your way to the top of the leader board. \nBooking information\nThis event is open to all Girlguiding members (Rainbows\, Brownies\, Guides\, Ranger units with their leaders). Tickets are on sale from Wednesday 14 October\, and will close on 1 February 2027. \nBook for the Carlisle event here \nPayment is made online at time of booking so it’s a good idea to confirm the number of people coming with you as soon as you can. You can join our group skydive on Saturday 20 March 2027\, or choose your own date and jump at an airfield that works for you!  \nClick here to book through our partner Skyline \nGot questions before booking?\nDo I need experience?\nNope! Tandem jumps are designed for first-time jumpers.  All jumpers must be older that 16\, and there is a weight restriction of 15st for men and 13st female (can go up to 15st if 5ft 10 and over)  \nHow high?\nAt least 10\,000 feet\, followed by a parachute descent with your instructor.  \nWhen is the jump?\nJoin our group jump on 20 March 2027\, or choose your own date.  \nHow much do I need to raise? \nSkyline’s standard minimum is £395. Some airfields require £450. Once registered for the jump\, Skyline will help you set up a justgiving page and we can share ideas for fundraising activities!  \nWhat do I wear?\nComfortable clothes and suitable lace-up shoes. Our venue will be Guys Farm Activity Centre.  \nFor volunteers: Once we have received your application form\, you will be invited to an online introductory chat with Becky\, Lisa and our CIA team. If successful\, we will invite you to Guys Farm where we will build our teams of trip leaders and participants based on interactions throughout the weekend.  \nFor girls: You will apply at county level and attend a County IntOps weekend. If successful\, you too will be invited to Guys Farm to meet all applicants and match you to an international adventure.
