Girlguiding members from across Greater Manchester West have taken part in a heart-warming initiative to provide Comfort Bags to patients who find themselves in hospital unexpectedly.
Over the past year, the county has donated small toiletries and care items to go inside the handmade bags and delivered these to people who find themselves in hospital with no belongings.
Brownies and Guides have joined in the celebration at Salford Royal Hospital today, to help deliver the 1000th Comfort Bag.
Mel Price, Assistant Region Chief Commissioner said "We are so proud of our members who have gone above and beyond to provide support in their local community. It is a fantastic initiative and one that we are very proud to support and develop."
