Having worked on our comfort bag project for a number years, we're looking for a new social action campaign, and we'd like to ask both you, our adult volunteers, and our young members to choose. We'd love for you to have a chat with your girls to see which of the following projects they'd prefer.
As homeless women have limited or no access to period products, they are often forced to go without. This initiative believes that tampons and towels should be made available through homeless shelters, and we can help by donating period products or by raising funds for the charity to help those most in need.
In cold weather we take for granted that we can put on a coat to keep warm, but for vulnerable members of our community, this isn’t always the case. This charity focuses on collecting coats that are no longer needed, but are still in a good, clean condition, to donate to vulnerable members of our community, including the homeless, the elderly, refugees, children and families living in poverty and people fleeing domestic violence.
This project takes unwanted or unloved bras to raise vital funds for pioneering breast cancer research, as well as giving them a new lease of life in developing countries, where bras remain too expensive to produce locally. This venture keeps many families in developing countries out of poverty, whilst also providing employment for people in the UK.
