Ever wondered what other roles are available in guiding, or wanted to find out more about a particular role? Then this is the day for you!
Join us on Zoom on Sunday 25 April at 10am to meet volunteers from around the region who will tell you all about their roles in guiding, how they got involved and how you might too.
The day will start with a keynote speech from our region chief commissioner, Julie, our assistant region chief commissioner, Emma, and some of our wonderful volunteers from around the region who will tell you about their volunteering journeys so far.
This will be followed by two 45 minute sessions where you will be able to self-select the sessions you would like to attend depending on the roles you’re interested in (*you will need to ensure you have the most up to date version of Zoom in order to do this). The roles that will be covered on the day include:
- Completing the LQ and Becoming a Mentor
- The role of the commissioner
- Becoming an adviser
- The role of the trainer
- Administration roles in guiding
- The role of the Growth and Engagement teams (growth and PR)
We also have a dedicated session from 11am to 11.45am for our young members aged 14-18, to find out about all of the fantastic opportunities available to them: Motivate, Queen’s Guide, Peer Education, Express!, Inspire, the Young Leader qualification….the opportunities are endless!
