Sign, Sing, Shimmer and Shake

Closed / 15:00 - 16:00 / Zoom

We have some very exciting news for you! This Christmas, we will be joined by our amazing leader, Jade Kilduff, from 1st Heywood Brownies - you probably know her and her little brother Christian as Sign Along With Us, runners up in ITV's Britain's Got Talent!  She's going to share her talent with us - teaching us to Sign, Sing, Shimmer and Shake along to the Shakin’ Stevens classic ‘Merry Christmas everyone!’.  This is not just for our members - the whole family can join in with our Region Christmas event on Saturday 12th December at 3pm.

Just put on your uniform and something festive, like reindeer horns or novelty Christmas glasses and join us on Saturday 12 December 2020 via Zoom at 3pm (virtual doors open at 2:45pm).

This virtual event is suitable for all sections and for all the family; we hope to see as many of you there as possible, ready to sign and sing your hearts out!

Plus, there is an awesome badge for it!

If you'd like to attend - and why wouldn't you? – purchase your tickets here. Tickets for the event are just £2 per household and the profit will be donated to Sign Along with Us’ fundraising appeal which you can find out more about here.

Jade said of her appeal: “If Sign Along with us would have won Britain’s Got Talent the majority of the £250,000 prize money would have been going towards the fund I set up to purchase a fully adapted holiday home for those with disabilities in the UK to use for free. I know how much harder it is to holiday for some families as there are less adapted holiday homes available than needed so they can book up far ahead and also are usually much more expensive. It’s a massive amount of money but however long it takes I’m determined to get there.

When booking, please ensure that the name used is the name of the person who will be joining via Zoom on the day, as access to the event will only be granted to those whose names are on the list.

Once you have purchased your ticket, you will be sent a booking form for the event, plus the relevant permission forms. In addition to the booking form, both adult members and parents/carers/guardians of young members will need to complete a publicity consent form for their attendance; this is so we can shout out about our event across our platforms and are able to record the wonderful signing choir that our members will form on the day.  Parents/carers/guardians will also need to complete a consent form to give consent for their daughter to participate in the event.  All completed forms should be returned to: We're really sorry, but without the relevant completed forms, members will be unable to participate.

The unique Zoom link and lyric sheet will be sent to attendees on or before Friday 11 December. You can find some guidance on how to join a zoom meeting, here

Badges will be available to buy soon; these will be stocked on our online shop.
