Adventures With a Map

Do you want to improve your knowledge in basic map reading and walking skills? If you said yes, then join our Adventures With a Map series!

These sessions are open to all young and adult leaders who are interested in improving their knowledge!

Each session will cover something new and build on the knowledge and skills from the previous session. All sessions will begin at 7:30pm and finish by 9pm.

In this first session, we will cover:

• Choosing the right map for your activity
• Considering the best clothing to wear when out walking
• Learning about map symbols
• Beginning to understand contours
• Weather forecasting
• How to plan a walk

These will be interactive sessions, combining both theory and practical activities to help you develop your skills and confidence. These sessions will take place online and all three sessions must be attended.
