Leader Social Walks June 3, 2025We’re holding another leader social walk on Wednesday 13 August in Tarn Hows and we’d love to see you there
When: Wednesday 13 August
Start location/Time: 10am start at Tarn Hows car park
To ensure the opportunity is open to all adult members the first section of the walk will be completely accessible, starting with a 2 mile walk around Tarn Hows. The second part of the walk will be optional to continue with and will not follow accessible footpaths down to Consiton, before returning to the car park via the lower Consiton fells, giving participants another opportunity to explore level 2 country. Please aim to arrive 10 minutes early so that we can start promptly and record who is present.
Finish location/time: Both walks will finish at the Tarn Hows main car park. The extended walk has an estimated finish time of around 5pm.
Walking route: The full walk is 10 miles with 634m ascent.
Kit: We would recommend a small rucksack with a screw top bottle and a packed lunch. Please wear appropriate footwear (e.g. trainers or walking boots). Depending on the weather you may also wish to bring sun hats/sun cream; a warm jumper or a windproof coat.
Please note this walk is dog friendly but may need to be on leads at some points in the walk.
As there are a limited number of spaces for this walk, once we have reached event capacity you will automatically be added onto a waiting list for when a place becomes available. We will email you to confirm whether you have a space, or whether you have been added to a waiting list.
