Kit: Please wear appropriate footwear (e.g. walking boots and walking shoes with walking socks) and make sure you have water to hydrate. Depending on the weather you may also wish to bring sun hats/sun cream; a warm jumper or a waterproof coat. Please also bring with you a metal or unbreakable mug as the team will make a brew for everyone at the end of the walk if the group is unable to stop at the Frodsham Hills Hotel, where there may be chance to purchase a drink if you wish.
Please note this walk is not dog friendly.
As there are a limited number of spaces for this walk, once we have reached event capacity you will automatically be added onto a waiting list for when a place becomes available. We will email you to confirm whether you have a space, or whether you have been added to a waiting list.

On the 12 October 2024, Girlguiding North West England will be taking over Southport for a fun filled day by the seaside. This event will be open to all sections across the region.
The event will begin at 9:45am with an estimated finish of 3.30pm. However, you are welcome to leave before this time once your group have finished their last activity.
Over the course of the day, groups will be participating in 5 different activities these can range from different types of sports, crafts, and some skills we hope girls will have never tried before. Due to the scale of the event, it will not be possible for groups to participate in every activity but we will ensure that you are allocated a varied selection.
As this is a unit event all girls will need to be accompanied by their leaders, ensuring ratios are followed. Each unit is required to provide their own first aid. You will also need to bring lunch and enough drinks to last the day.
Both girls and leaders are expected to be wearing uniform during the event.
Tickets cost £1.50 plus the Eventbrite fee. All attendees will need to purchase a ticket, including leaders.

Halloween Fun Day! 👻 September 6, 2024Join us this October for our action packed and fun filled, Halloween Fun Day! at Region HQ. The day will be filled with a variety of different challenges, activities and experiences. A great opportunity to make new friendships with other members from across the region!
Open to all members between the ages of 5-14 from all counties within Girlguiding North West England. All attendees will receive our very own glow in the dark Halloween badge.
Friday 25 October 2024, 8.30am – 5pm, Region HQ, Guiding Road, Preston, PR25PD.
Members will need to bring a packed lunch and anything else they require e.g. medication etc.
We also ask that members attending please wear their Girlguiding uniform.
£28 per member + booking fee.
