Water Safety Course July 8, 2025This course is a compulsory element of level 1, 2 and 3 of the walking scheme. Members can complete this course at any point on their qualification journey. You do not need a leaders qualification to take this course, but if you are a leader you will only need to do this course once.
The course is currently open to members from North West England Region.
This course will be held in-person at Guys Farm Activity Centre on Saturday 18 October, 1pm – 4pm.

Refresh, Reset and Go July 18, 2025Calling all leaders with a historic Going Away with (GAW) Residential Licence:
Are you a leader who would like a refresh on your GAW Licence so you can feel more confident?

Safer Guiding August 20, 2025Two sessions to be held on Monday 10 November and Monday 17 November, 7:00pm – 9:00pm
During the session we’ll cover the role of the commissioner in managing concerns, allegations and disclosures. If any of this content may be a concern to you, please let us know in advance of the training.
In order to complete this course, you will need to attend both sessions.

Please note: As spaces are limited to 22 per session; please only register if you can definitely attend and ensure that there is strictly one leader from your unit attending. If you have completed the training within the last 3 years, you do not need to redo the training. If you’re unsure when your renewal is due, please check your record on GO, or contact your commissioner.
If you’re a volunteer who has previously completed a safe space training, you only need to do this course when your highest level of a safe space expires. So if you have a safe space levels 1 and 2, you’ll only need to do safer guiding once your level 2 expires. This training must be renewed every 3 years.
