Running Outdoor Nature Sessions Training December 10, 2024

The RSPB wants to create stronger connections between people and nature, including giving experiences to children that engage and inspire them to take action for nature. Girlguiding North West England is working with the RSPB to support volunteers to develop their confidence in connecting girls and young women with nature, inspiring them to take action for nature too.

The ‘Running Outdoor Nature Sessions’ training aims to build the confidence of leaders to take girls outdoors to discover, explore, enjoy, and help nature. As a result of completing the training, leaders will feel comfortable delivering an increased number of activities in and for nature in their programmes.

The training introduces a range of activities that enhance the ‘have adventure’ and ‘take action’ elements of the Girlguiding programme and which are appropriate for the different sections.
